Myrtle Beach Classic

Making PGA TOUR History in "The Golf Capital of the World."

The Myrtle Beach Classic, a new PGA TOUR event sponsored by Visit Myrtle Beach, will debut May 9-12, 2024 and be the first PGA TOUR event in Myrtle Beach history, and the first major professional golf tournament to the Grand Strand in the past 24 years. Myrtle Beach has long been known as the “Golf Capital of the World”. The Myrtle Beach Classic solidifies this claim, combining the world-renowned accolades and success as American’s favorite traveling golf destination with the prestige of hosting the world’s top professional golfers.

The Dunes Golf and Beach Club

The Myrtle Beach Classic will be held at Dunes Golf and Beach Club, a championship golf course known for its beauty along the Atlantic Ocean coastline. Incorporated in 1948, this Robert Trent Jones-designed course has hosted many high profile events including PGA TOUR Champions, USGA, Collegiate, and men’s and women’s State amateur competitions. Today this renowned 18-hole golf course is consistently ranked among the Top 100 courses in the nation.

Best in the World

Hailing from 24 countries and territories, PGA TOUR members represent the world’s best. The event is part of the PGA TOUR’s 2024 FedExCup Regular Season schedule, and will feature a purse of $3.9 million with 300 FedExCup points awarded to the champion.
